“I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever."

Psalm 86:12

Adopted into His Family

Thank you so much for your prayers regarding my discipleship time with KC. I (Traci) have continued meeting with her several times a month. During our discipleship time several weeks back, I had the opportunity to share a clear gospel presentation and invitation. KC was so excited to hear it and eagerly prayed to receive salvation. Praise the Lord!

I am so grateful for the time KC and I get to spend together each week.

She has a general understanding of the Bible and so many more questions. It’s been both challenging and exciting to try to answer those questions. I told her from the onset that I desire to share answers that come directly from Scripture rather than my own opinion or interpretation. This has helped us both dig into the Word together. At times, there has not been an exact answer for the question she is asking, which I hope is also helping her learn how to read Scripture as the “living word” of God and use wisdom from the Holy Spirit to discern what God is saying to her. She and her fourth-grader have also been consistently listening to a Bible study I recommended during their 45-minute commute from their home to GIS each day. I’m so grateful that she and her daughter have taken such a great interest in understanding God’s word better. Please continue praying for KC and her daughter Yaya.

Soccer Ministry

Around Christmas time, Nick started playing soccer in the evening with a group of men. There are anywhere from 30 to 40 men from all over the globe who show up once or twice a week to play together under the lights. Nick has loved getting back into soccer and has also been using the time to invest in the lives of the other men. He’s had several spiritual conversations and has built some great new relationships. Pray that this continues to be an open door to share the love of Christ and that there will be ample opportunity for further spiritual conversations. As a bonus, our friend “V” (far right) was visiting from out of town and was able to join them for the night.

The men’s soccer group is a split between Christians and non-Christians. Pau (in the yellow) was a visiting pastor from a neighboring closed country. He was in Chiang Mai for the week for further pastoral training and was excited to connect with Nick at soccer.

America, Here We Come

Can you believe it’s already been two years since we were stateside? We cannot! But we sure are excited to see many of you this summer. We’ll be in the US from the end of May through the third week of July. We will be in the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area for about half of that time. We are hustling over here as we prepare for that time and are still unpacking in our new house on top of daily life/ministry. If you’d like to connect while we are in the US, please reach out to let us know. Since our time is so limited, we hope to provide a few “open house” style opportunities to see more of you. We’d love to see you in person and thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and ongoing partnership in this ministry. There is so much for which to rejoice!

Pray for our preparations for our time in the US while we wrap up the school year here.

Throughout the week we pray for our ministry partners as a family. We would love to know how we can be praying for you specifically. Click the button below to send us your prayer requests.

Additional Highlights

Moriah’s class has been learning about the major tribal groups represented in Thailand. Traci’s parents were invited to share about their experience serving a remote hilltribe in northwest Thailand—where Traci spent the first eight years of her life.
March is “Reading Month” at GIS, and it culminates in a “book character parade” for elementary students. Moriah went as Kristy from The Baby-Sitters Club series, Grey was a soccer player, and Wren went as the Lorax.
Nick and Traci’s dad took the boys to a free FC Chiang Mai game last week. The boys loved it!(Grey snapped both the radius and ulna in a trampoline mishap the first week of March. He gets his cast removed next week but will still have several months before his bones completely heal.)
