Ministry Advances & Home Assignment

Thank you so much for your continued prayers, encouragement, and financial support. We are constantly reminded that this ministry is only possible because of faithful partners like you.

The café continues moving in a healthy and sustainable direction. As staff and systems have grown stronger, Traci’s role has shifted away from daily operations and toward relationships and future development. Over the last couple of weeks, we were also able to hire two new baristas. This is a direct answer to prayer! Please continue praying for their training and adjustment to the team, especially while we are stateside.

One new addition to Traci’s ministry this semester has been an opportunity she and another missionary mom have begun developing through informal meetups at cafés around Chiang Mai with other moms. Because Chiang Mai is such a hub for expats, there are many young moms here who feel isolated and lonely, often because they are home with small children and lack the time or bandwidth to learn Thai and build community. Through local Facebook groups, they’ve been able to connect with women they otherwise may never have met. Some come from Christian backgrounds, while several others have no connection to Jesus and have come to Thailand pursuing other “spiritual” practices and beliefs or to escape difficult situations in their home countries. Please pray that Traci and her co-laborer would not only be an encouragement and source of community to these women, but also have opportunities to share the hope and truth found only in Jesus.

We would also appreciate prayer for Traci’s two Thai language teachers. Over the past year, she has built meaningful relationships with both and has been able to share openly about the Gospel and the truth of Scripture. They continue to be curious and ask thoughtful questions. Pray that she would be able to continue with these same teachers after our home assignment, as they may not be able to hold her current time slots.

We are returning stateside this weekend for home assignment. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be visiting ministry partners, churches, friends, and family. As we prepare for the next season of ministry, we are also continuing to trust the Lord to raise an additional $1,300 in monthly support.
